The PPS Interscholastic Story Slam is a live storytelling competition in the vein of poetry slams and The Moth.

 

Storytellers (slammers) have 5 minutes each to tell a story, based on a theme chosen for the event.

 

It is called TRUTH BE TOLD!

STUDENTS - All PPS students are eligible to compete at their home schools. Contact your teacher librarian for exact details about the competitions at your school including HOW TO apply, workshop your story, and event details.

TEACHER LIBRARIANS - The point person for each PPS high school is the teacher librarian.

COMMUNITY - It takes many people to put together an event of this scale. We appreciate all of our volunteers including our judges, emcees, mathematicians, classroom teachers, designers, families, and amazing audience members!

The PPS Pulse ran the logo contest for TRUTH BE TOLD in the Nov. 7, 2017 issue.
Madison Junior, Trish Nguyen, was the winner of the contest and received a $50 gift card in a small ceremony in her Advanced Art class!
